Other important tips: Please make sure your horse has enough water. I have found heated buckets to be a life saver but be aware that heated buckets and hot water are not the same!
The eheated bucket keeps your water from freezing, but rarely makes it “warm”. Some horse will prefer warm water and I encourage you to provide that daily in cold weather. Make sure buckets are clean. If concerned about food or water consumption, you can add warm water to their grain to make a mash.
