About REVS
Dr. Jeanne Best
Dr. Jeanne Best, a Buffalo native, attended St. Louis University prior to going to Veterinary school at the University of Missouri. After graduation she was selected by the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada to be an intern in the Large Animal Medicine and Surgery Department. Upon successful completion of this internship, she practiced in Nova Scotia for two years at Acadia Equine Services.
Deciding to move back closer to home, she went into practice in East Aurora. For six years, Dr. Best worked at Great Lakes Equine Practice with Dr. Leslie Personett. The decision to make a career move resulted in the formation of what is now known as Royalton Equine Veterinary Services.
Dr. Best is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the NYS Horse Council, the Farm Bureau, and she also maintains several breed and discipline memberships. After seven years of service on the Board of Directors for the WNY
Veterinary Medical Association, she was selected to serve on the NYS Veterinary Medical Society where she is a part of several committees. Dr. Best maintains veterinary licensure in New York, as well as Missouri and Texas.
REVS has been operating since 1998. This growing practice is currently staffed by two veterinarians and a technician.
What had started as an equine veterinary dentistry practice has grown and developed into a full service ambulatory practice filling the needs of horse owners in Niagara County as well as northern Erie and western Genesee counties.
The completion of the clinic has been beneficial to offer services to horses out of the area and to provide clients with an opportunity to have their horse attended to in a hospital setting.
Dr. Bentley is a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following her graduation from Cornell, she did an equine internship at Mississippi State University and a Large Animal Surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is Board Certified in Large Animal Surgery (DACVS-LA stands for Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Large Animal).
In 2019, she obtained her certification in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy, what we commonly refer to as veterinary chiropractic care. Lameness and performance horse medicine are among Dr. Bentley’s special interests.
The Doctor is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the American Veterinary Medical Association, Farm Bureau, and is on the Board of Directors for the New York State Veterinary Medical Society. She also maintains various breed and discipline memberships.

Dr. Bentley has family here in WNY and is happy to be back home after school and a few years of practice in Las Vegas. She enjoys horseback riding, hiking, camping, reading, and cross stitch.
She loves her dog, Paloma, who travels with her on farm calls and has two Quarter Horses, one retired and one former reining horse which has been “a dream come true” for her!
Royalton Equine is proud to have Haley Miller as our licensed veterinary technician. Haley is a native of western New York and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Medaille College’s Veterinary Technology program in 2017. Her experience includes years of riding and showing horses. She has experience as a therapeutic riding volunteer, has trained with local 4H judges and is a member of the AQHA.
Professionally, she has worked in a small animal hospital and comes to us after working at a large equine surgical hospital in Pennsylvania. This position gave her the opportunity to hone her technical skills in a very busy clinical setting. She has been a tremendous asset to our practice. You and your horse will
benefit from the increased level of care we can offer because of Haley.
